RPD Officer Graduates From FBI National Academy

Richmond Police Sergeant Rodney Tudor graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Sergeant Tudor is currently assigned as the supervisor of the RPD Narcotics Unit and Bike Patrol Unit. Sergeant Tudor is a 17.5 year veteran of the department. He is the first officer in recent memory to have completed the National Academy. This is part of the department’s continuing efforts to build leadership capacity from within to establish a positive path forward into the future.
The FBI National Academy is a professional development course for U.S. and international law enforcement leaders. It serves to improve the administration of justice in police departments and agencies at home and abroad and to raise law enforcement standards, knowledge, and cooperation worldwide.
Aproximately 220 officers take undergraduate and/or graduate courses at the FBI campus in Quantico, Virginia. Classes are offered in the following areas: law, behavioral science, forensic science, understanding terrorism/terrorist mindsets, leadership, communication, and health/fitness.
