This morning a failed sprinkler system at EKU caused the evacuation of hundreds of students at Clay Hall. Clay Hall was completely evacuated around 1:30 a.m. after four floors were flooded.

About 200 students live in the 10 floor residence hall. Students were advised to go to the Powell Student Center or to stay with their friends.

Students were allowed to go back to their rooms to get their medications overnight. As of 5:45 a.m., students were allowed to re-occupy Clay Hall.
