Man Shot In Strip Club Parking Lot

One man was shot in the back when a man and woman pulled into the Camelot West parking lot and started shooting.

It happened at about 2:30 this morning as the manager of the strip club locked up and everyone was walking outside. A white Cadillac pulled into the shopping center and two people started firing into the crowd.

The victim was transported to UK Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two vehicles and the building were also struck by bullets.

Matthew Kelley, the club’s manager says for the past two years they have been increasing their security to cut down on crimes.

“We have bought metal detectors, we have patted people down as they come in. All the precautions have been taken so it’s horrible that it happened out here in the parking lot,” said Matthew Kelly.

The shooters are still at large and Lexington Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
