Storms Cause Damage In Madison County
Strong storms that moved through central Kentucky left 17,000 Lexington residents in the dark and one Madison County neighborhood cleaning up after extensive damage to one home on Rainbow Ridge.
The storm tore off porch columns off, tore the underneath of a porch out and lifted 30 to 40 per cent of the roof shingles off. In Estill County residents were stranded because of flooding.
Officials from the National Weather Service will be surveying the damage in Madison county today.
Today’s forecast is calling for more thunderstorms.
