Madison County Sheriff’s Office Arrest 2 for Trafficking

According to Madison County Sheriff Mike Coyle, on Friday, March 25, 2016, Deputy Paul Lay was conducting an investigation at Big Hill Food Mart when he was notified of an intoxicated individual at the gas pumps.

Deputy Lay made contact with an occupant of the vehicle, Lymon Vanwinkle, 28, of Richmond. During a search of Mr. Vanwinkle, Deputy Lay located an open bag of syringes in a pocket.

Deputy Lay then made contact with the owner of the vehicle, Gregory Collins, 32, Berea, who appeared to be under the influence. A consensual search of the vehicle was conducted and Deputy Lay seized 2 baggies of suspected Heroin as well as 3 baggies of suspected Methamphetamine.

Lymon Vanwinkle and Gregory Collins were both arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Heroin), Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Gregory Collins received an additional charge of Public Intoxication. Both were lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
