Garage Total Loss After Lightning Strike

Lightning is blamed for a garage fire yesterday near Waco, Ky.

It happened at around 11 a.m. and destroyed all of the contents including a four wheeler, lumber, tools and glass windows.

“I saw lightning strike the top of the building, and then I saw something just flickering,” said Judy Hager, the homeowner. “I thought my God that’s fire, the Ranger is on fire.”

The garage was fully engulfed when the Waco Volunteer Fire Department and members of the Madison County Fire Department responded to the call.

The fire was quickly extinguished and there were no injuries reported.
