KSP: Man Fatally Shot By Trooper in Morehead

Kentucky State Police say a man was fatally shot by a trooper attempting to serve a warrant on Wednesday.

They say the trooper went to a home on Old Hilda Road in Morehead to serve the arrest warrant on 22-year-old Matthew Brewer.

Police say Brewer was outside and, as he was going into the house, he pointed a gun at the trooper, who fired at Brewer and killed him.

State police say they are investigating.
