74 Year Old Woman Jailed For Domestic Violence

In Richmond an elderly woman was arrested Sunday for domestic violence.

Police say the male victim picked up Ersa Olive York, 74, from a Danville Hospital around 4 a.m. to take her home. In the vehicle, York allegedly assaulted the victim by grabbing his ear and hitting him in the face, bending his glasses. She also reportedly grabbed the gear shift in an effort to wreck the vehicle.

When the male got the suspect home she continued to act strange and threatened to kill him.

She is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) minor injury.
