Volunteer Bell Ringers Needed

The Madison County Salvation Army needs your help, they are in need of volunteer bell rings for the annual holiday “kettle drive”.

One of the things we are in need of at the moment is volunteer bell ringers. We have less volunteer bell ringers this year than we had in previous years,” Salvation Army Director Lt. Dakarai Darby said. “We’re asking the community to come out and volunteer a couple of hours just to ring the bell.”

The funds raised by the kettle drive are very important to the Salvation Army’s year long operation.

One of the things people may not know about the Salvation Army is not only does it help us at Christmas time but it sustains for the entire year,” said Lt. Darby. “ So it helps us help people throughout the entire year.”

Volunteering is easy. You can call the Salvation Army at 859-624-5826 or visit in person at 1675 E Main St, Richmond, KY.

The Richmond Salvation Army serves five counties, Madison, Jackson, Rockcastle, Lee and Estill.
