Middleman Pleads Guilty In Richmond Double Slaying
Lebruce Ellington, the middle man in the double slaying of Sonsaray “Sonsi” Warford and Charles “Chew” Walker was in court this morning where he entered guilty please to two counts of complicity to murder, two counts of complicity to kidnapping, complicity to burglary and persistent felony offender.
During today’s hearing Ellington admitted that Jakolbe Chenault, gave him $50,000 to hire a hit man. Chenault is in jail on unrelated charges and has not been charged in two murders.
“If we can just hold on, you know let things and I guess let time take it’s course, like everybody said upstairs, we’re not going to rush it,” said Delisha Walher. “With the final say with Lebruce hopefully Jakolbe Chenault will be convicted for what he done.”
The men hired to kill Walker, Daniel Keene and Matthew Denholm both entered guilty pleas in the case as well.
The prosecution recommended Ellington be sentenced to 35 years on each of the six counts to be served concurrently. He would be eligible for parole after serving 85% of his sentence.
