Madison County Sheriff’s Office Arrest Man After Pursuit

According to Madison County Sheriff Mike Coyle, on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 around 5:30 p.m., Deputy Jeff Bol was driving on Irvine Road (KY 52) when he noticed a white vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed.

Deputy Bol activated his emergency equipment in attempt to stop the vehicle, however the driver failed to yield.  Deputy Bol pursued the vehicle east on KY 52, crossing into Estill County.  The driver turned off KY 52 onto Picnic Hill Road and then onto a gravel road into a wooded area.  The driver exited his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.

After a short foot pursuit, Deputy Bol arrested Patrick Bailey, 41, of Ravenna KY.  Bailey was charged with; Speeding 15 MPH Over Limit, Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle), Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree-Police Officer, Fleeing or Evading Police, 2nd Degree (Foot), and Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Patrick Bailey was also charged on two outstanding warrants from Estill County for Contempt of Court and Probation Violation.  He was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
