Richmond Police Apprehend Man Imprisoning Victim

Tuesday evening Richmond police responded to an altercation on Robinson Terrace where they found 25 year old James Riddell imprisoning a victim.
Police had to make a force entry to the apartment because of ongoing screaming and yelling and the possibility of further harm to the victim.
When police made entry, Riddell tried to escape through a back door, but was quickly apprehended.
During the arrest police found Riddell had outstanding warrants for failure to appear on past charges of drug possession, fleeing or evading police on foot, giving an officer a false name or address and failure to pay child support
He is charged with fourth-degree assault and second-degree unlawful imprisonment.
