3 Arrested In Connection With A January Murder

Three people identified as Johnathan Taylor, Levi Bradley and Kayla Pitman are in custody in connection with a January murder in Rockcastle County.

Police say Taylor and Bradley entered the home of Benny Sanders January 6, and shot the 71 year old at point blank range and then robbed him.

Taylor and Bradley are charged with robbery, burglary and murder. Pitman is facing a charge of hindering apprehension and prosecution. Police say she helped Taylor and Bradley flee police.

Sanders was a former starting quarterback for the Knoxville College Bulldogs He was a well-known and well-liked Rockcastle resident
