Richmond Man Arrested Trying To Procure Sex With A Minor

On May 4, 2017, the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by Post 7-Richmond, arrested Marc A. Taylor, 23, for prohibited use of electronic communication system to procure a minor/police officer re: sex offenses.
Taylor was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after observing the suspect post an online advertisement on a popular website. On May 4, 2017, the conversation turned sexual and explicit images were sent.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant of Mr. Taylor’s residence, where electronic equipment was seized and is pending a forensic examination.
Taylor is currently charged with one count of prohibited use of electronic communication system to procure a minor/police officer re: sex offenses. The charge is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison.
Taylor was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
