A collision between a car and semi has left two dead in Wolfe County.
It happened yesterday near the Shell in Campton. The coroner says the car ended up beneath the semi claiming the lives of Jonathan Mark Miller, 27, and Dylan Rae Spencer, 20, both of Campton.
Miller was driving the car and according to Kentucky State Police, they were going southbound on KY 15 when Miller apparently disregarded a traffic control device that was signaling red and entered the intersection of KY 15 and KY 191. They were struck on the passenger side of the vehicle by the semi driven by Timothy Eitniear, 55, of Hazard. .
Miller and Spencer were both pronounced dead at the scene, Eitniear sustained minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.
The accident remains under investigation.
