Rand Paul Makes It Official He’s Running For President

Senator Rand Paul made it official this morning. He announced it on his website, randpaul.com, that he will run for President in 2016, ahead of his trip to Louisville.

Senator Paul says it’s time for a change in this country.

“It’s time for a new way, a new set of ideas, a new leader, one that you can trust, one that works for you, and above all it’s time for a new President,” said Senator Rand Paul. “We need to return to our founding principals, stand up for the entire Bill of Rights.

Paul was scheduled to kick off the “Stand With Rand” tour at The Galt house In Louisville Tuesday afternoon.

After the announcement Tuesday Paul will move on to visit early nominating states like Iowa and New Hampshire. He will also rally in South Carolina and Nevada this week.
