Another Shooting On Turpin Drive

A drive-by shooting on Turpin drive in Richmond has left one man in critical condition and one man in jail for attempted murder.

Sammy Isaac was walking in the 300 Block of Turpin Drive at about 11:20 p.m. Sunday when five or six shots were fired, one of them hitting Issac in his back near his neck.

Police say the victim identified the gunman as Jimmy Skinner,18, of Drip Rock Tower Road. McKee, Kentucky. The victim was able to tell police the suspect and the driver of the vehicle,Skinner’s girlfriend, were possibly in the North Madison Avenue area.

Richmond Police located the vehicle and suspects shortly after 3 a.m. at 230 N. Madison Avenue. Police were able to call the two out of the house without incident.

Investigators report that Skinner waived his Miranda rights and admitted to the shooting. During the investigation police learned that during the shooting an infant was also in the vehicle.

Skinner is charged with attempted murder and wanton endangerment (infant). The girlfriend has not been charged.

Isaac remains in critical condition at UK Medical Center.
