Congratulations to the Lady Engineers and Coach Shirley Beard for winning the 14th region
softball championship for the 4th consecutive year! The Lady Engineers will now travel to
Owensboro for the State Championship play on Friday, June 6th against region 3 champions
Owensboro Catholic. Game time is at 10am and you can hear every minute of the action on
1550 WIRV with inning updates on the Coyote!
Also a big congratulations to the Estill County Engineer Baseball team of Coach Danny Wood for
winning the 14th Region Baseball Championship!! For the first time in school history the
Engineers now advance to State Tournament Play! They will play Region 16 champs, Greenup
County on Wednesday, June 4th at Powell County High school. Game time is 8pm and you can
hear all the action on 1550 WIRV!
