Two Irvine residents have been arrested in connection with over 40 burglaries in 6 Kentucky
counties. Kentucky state police have charged Donald Paul McIntosh and Kimberly samples with 3
burglaries
in Madison county but say their are being investigated for over 40 that occurred since June
in Madison, Clark, Estill,
Rock Castle, Montgomery and Powell counties.  State police say the pair
were arrested after detectives and the Madison county sheriff's office began sharing information and
noticed similarities in all the burglaries.
A 14-year-old Clark County girl died unexpectedly on Tuesday afternoon. McKenna Hatchett was
hospitalized and contracted a staph infection.  The Fayette County Coroner ruled that the staph
infection was the cause of death.  Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 am at Mt. Zion Christian
Church in Winchester.
Eastern Kentucky University will play host to Richmond's annual City Fest tonight at the Powell
Plaza.  Local business and organizations will offer students information and free samples. It starts at
5:30 followed by a pep rally.
Saturday is the last day to view the Churchill  Weavers exhibition at the Thomas D. Clark Center for
Ky History in Frankfort.  The collection includes artifacts from the former Berea landmark business,
and on the tour historians are available for questions.

A high speed chase ends with a car crash. KSP say a commercial vehicle  equipment officer pulled
over Justin Vineyard of Knoxville for driving too slow on 1-75. When asked for his license, he fled. He
was chased into Madison County. Police say speeds reached about 110 mph. After 30  minutes, stop
sticks were put in the road. Vineyard hit them and crashed into the median.  He was taken to the
Madison County jail.
A Richmond couple are behind bars accused of cooking meth near a baby and sparking a fire that
put several people's lives at risk.  The fire broke out early Monday at Knights Inn Motel in Berea.
Police say 37-year-old Randal Lainhard and 30-year-old Tina Price were cooking meth inside room
323, with Price's 9 month old daughter.  The baby and 3 Richmond Police officers were taken to the
hospital and treated for exposure to chemicals.  The couple face felony charges.
Fire crews are still looking into a cause of an overnight fire in Nicholasville.  It started around 2 am
on Cat Nip Hill Road off US 27. Crews say a  maintenance building behind the Nissan dealership
caught fire.  No on was injured.

A prominent Estill County citizen and business leader has died.  55-year-old John Mason St.Clair,
jr. passed away on Sunday after a sudden illness.  St. Clair worked for the pat 29 years for Citizens
Guaranty Bank as chairman and CEO.  He also served on the Estill County Chamber of Commerce,
Estill County Industrial Authority and Richmond Industrial Authority.  
An early morning crash in Richmond has sent an unidentified man to the hospital.  Police say
around 2 AM on Red House Road, the driver of a SUV lost control, hit a tree and flipped over in a
ditch. The victims name has not been released and the crash remains under investigation.
Jury selection began today in Winchester in the murder trial of a couple accused in the fatal
beating and scalding of a 10-year-old girl.  Patrick Watkins' daughter, Michaela, was found dead at
Patrick and Joy Watkins apartment in March of 2007. Both have pleaded not guilty in the case.
